Kid Friendly Chinese Steam Egg Recipe

Steam Water Egg

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Eggs
  • 1/4 Cup Diced Green Onion (About 1 Stem)
  • 2 Cup Hot Water
  • 1 Tbs Vegetable Oil

Instructions
 

  • Start boiling water in a steamer.
  • Crack eggs in a bowl and mix.
  • Add 2 cups of hot water to the eggs and mix.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of oil and mix.
  • Pour eggs into a steam friendly serving dish.
  • Place the serving dish into steamer on medium heat.
  • Cover the eggs with a plate to prevent your eggs from boiling over.
  • Boil for 15 minutes. If it's a smaller proportion, boil for 10 minutes.
  • Add green onions and boil for 1 more minute.
  • Take it out of the steamer and let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
